Halloween 2013 is over, but the weekend continues

Thanks to everyone who called and messaged about Halloween! It was lots of fun, and all the events were awesome! Here is a pic from Halloween day, I just had to have something to wear for it.

Happy Halloween

Elaine’s Halloween face

Today I’ll be out at a neighborhood party, then afterward I’ll be at Crestwood Coffee Co. painting sugar skull faces for folks headed to the Dia de los Muertos Festival! Come on out, I have appointments booked, but openings after 4:15. Danny has good food and drinks available, and the coffee shop is welcoming, so if you want to come hang out, get a cup of coffee or something a bit stronger, and eat some amazing pastries, please do!

Sunday afternoon I’ll be out face painting for Revive Birmingham’s closing party Souldown in Woodlawn from 2:00PM to 5:00PM. The party is in the lot at the corner of 55th Place and 1st Avenue South.

2013 Pepper Place Chefs vs Surgeons Pumpkin Carving contest

It’s that time of year again! Time for the 3rd Annual Chefs vs Surgeons Pumpkin Carving Contest at Pepper Place! This Saturday, October 26th at 10:30am at the Pepper Place Market on 2nd Ave South.

Painted Personalities will be out at the event, with face painting and temporary tattoos. The contest is always fun to watch. I know the competitors will do their best to amaze and amuse the crowd as they create fun works of sculpture with the pumpkins. So join us Saturday morning and have fun with us all!

Fall state fair in full swing, with a few days left

I’ve been out at the state fair since last Thursday, and the weather has been perfect! Attendees and other vendors have been pleasant, and its been fun. Fair at nighttime

I’ve had the opportunity to paint kids and adults, so that has been great.

Please stop by before the end of the fair and say hi! As you enter from the amphitheater, my booth is along the fence on the left. Its next to the pina colada booth, across from the midway elephant ears/funnel cake stand and the merry go round. Look for the tie dyed flags on the corners of the booth, they fly above the front!

Fultondale Founders Day 2013

This Saturday is the Fultondale Founder’s Day festival at Black Creek Park. I’ll be face painting for the Fultondale Arts Council at their booth from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Come on out and hear good music, see cool arts and crafts vendors, get face painted, and enjoy the day! There is only a 20% chance of rain tomorrow, so it should be a wonderful day to be outside. Fultondale is only 15 minutes north of downtown Birmingham on I-65. The Arts Council has a great set of directions to the park on their web page. Its going to be a busy day, so join us, and thank the Fultondale Arts Council for having Painted Personalities there for you!

Face painting and Temporary tattoos at Greystone!

I’ll be face painting and creating temporary tattoos at the Greystone Country Club pool for the Greystone 5K and Lori Johnson 1 Mile Fun Run on Saturday August 18th. I’ll be there from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM helping to make it a fun and festive atmosphere for everyone who participates! Its for a great cause. This event raises money for the Norma Livingstone Ovarian Cancer Foundation for research and support.
