Painted Personalities was at the Oak Mountain State Fair this past April. It was our first multi-day fair to work, so I really wasn’t sure how it was going to go. In spite of being held at the end of the April, we had some very chilly evenings. Overall it was a good experience.

Working more on special effects
After volunteering with the Birmingham Jaycees at our haunted house for 15 years, I have a serious fondness for haunt makeup and special effects makeup. I’ve recently learned about a somewhat local source for some special effects products. And some classes for using the products. So I’ll be getting additional training for SFX in July.

Face painting and Temporary tattoos at Greystone!
I’ll be face painting and creating temporary tattoos at the Greystone Country Club pool for the Greystone 5K and Lori Johnson 1 Mile Fun Run on Saturday August 18th. I’ll be there from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM helping to make it a fun and festive atmosphere for everyone who participates! Its for a great cause. This event raises money for the Norma Livingstone Ovarian Cancer Foundation for research and support.
